Today is the Autumn Equinox in the Northern Hemisphere. That means the nights become longer and the days become shorter as the North Pole tilts away from the sun.
3 Autumn Equinox Rituals To Enhance Psychic Awareness
1.) BLACK & WHITE CANDLES
In Pagan traditions, the Autumn Equinox is referred to as Mabon and starts on September 21st – September 29th.
Mabon honors both the darkness and the light, the masculine and feminine.
You can give thanks and gratitude by burning a white candle to honor the light and a black candle to honor the dark days to come.
As the carefree days of summer become a thing of the past, we enter into the dark days of autumn, which lead into Samhain (pronounced Sow-en) or Halloween, the pagan New Year.
2.) PALO SANTO
This “holy wood” is known for its healing properties. It clears the air so to speak, and says bye-bye to negative energy and ushers in the positive. It also aids with digestion and is an antioxidant. One of the benefits I like most about Palo Santo is its power to manifest during meditation and psychic work.
Much like sage, you burn it and let the spirit of the smoke do its thing. I also like to inhale it for it has calming properties. It will help you open and attune to spirit.
3.) HONOR YOUR ANCESTORS
October 2020 brings about more psychic energy than ever before. As we enter into the darkness, the veil becomes unusually transparent this year, honoring the Day of The Dead and your ancestors who have past. This presents the perfect opportunity to connect with your loved ones who have passed and your ancestral heritage by getting a mediumship reading and/or Psychic Tarot reading.
